A Reference Check, is typically accompanied with the previous employment check. While employment verification aims to verify the objective facts about the employment from the HR department, the purpose of a supervisor reference check is to get further insight into the applicant’s performance, capabilities and areas of improvement. Information about the candidate’s interpersonal skills and peer reports are generated reflecting how others view the candidate.
